Combat Model

Model 24 Soldier Hollow Handle Survival Knife in 80CRV2 aka M24 Soldier for it is truly made military tough! "Soldiers deserve Soldiers Sir!" The .270" thick tang x3/4" wide x 1-3/4" long is imbedded and takes up 1/3 the handle tube! If that isn't enough we further enhance the mechanical hold with a 1/4" round x 3/4" titanium pin! Pressure sealed with 5000psi cold weld resin. This massive tang is almost half the length of a true full tang knife, we still leave you room for your small survival handle items. This beautiful combat hollow handle survival knife features a full 4" sharpened clip point and aggressive primary hollow grinds 7-1/2" blade, 1-1/2" blade width, .270" blade thickness and razor sharp! Zero tolerance straight razor edge blade profile or opt for a 10-15 degree secondary cutting edge. The M24 "Soldier" now has the updated (Variation 1) Vintage style saw-back serrations that have been enhanced with more aggressive angled and curved rake towers, slightly wider apart and round gullets. (picture below) This model gets professionally sandblasted to a beautiful crystalline grey oxide finish. Attention to detail in every step of the build and the tips are designed to have extra meat and be extremely pointy. Shown Model 23 Storm Attack

(7 -3/4in. Blade) .270" blade stock also Model 23 Storm 6-3/4" with shorter blade. In 80CRV2 or 5160 Spring Steel. All STK primary grinds are now custom hollow ground to perfection utilizing a special built slow speed 10" knife wheel grinder/sander and with water cooling down to 400grit -600grit. This slower speed keeps the lower portion where the cutting edges will be from overheating while using the 400 to 600grit creating a beautiful aggressive hollow grind that is symmetrical on both sides. Blades are always heat treated and tempered before the finishing grinds. All blades regardless of model are inspected dozens of times with high powered jewelers glasses to make sure plunge lines are perfect and each side primary grind is perfect! Strict attention and discipline to detail, choose from two types of primary grinds on this model zero tolerance straight razor blade profile or opt for a 10-15 degree secondary cutting edge.

Model 23 Storm Attack shown was made with no serrations upon request, both models 6-1/2" to (7 3/4in Blade) .270" blade stock will have the variation #1 vintage serrations pics below left.

Snow-Tac Bushman (5 -3/4 - 6" in Blades) Blade Shown is a DAVID BECK blade sent to STK by a professional bush craft survival specialist. STK finished this blade and mounted it into a hollow handle utilizing STK's enhanced hollow handle tang attachment system. If you want the strongest mechanical hold tang attachment on a hollow handle survival knife look no further than Snow-Tac Knives. Coming soon our new STK Versions of the above Beck blade, the CUK and BUK models. These STK Bushman models will be similar to the above knife blade shown but will have thicker .270" blade stock in 5160 or 80CRV2 and a sharpened upper clip point on the CUK-1 model and sharpened upper swedge on the drop point on the BUK-2 model. Both models will have perfect slow grind water cooled 3/4" wide primary saber hollow grinds and made without serrations. These models are current priority at Snow-Tac Knives and under production 4 of these STK Bushman will be showcased and offer here on the website.

Updated Vintage style serrations (variation 1) serrations top picture with enhanced angled & concaved rake towers, slightly wider apart and round gullets at the base. Model: Snow-Tac Alpha Tracker full tang tanto Tracker Survival Knife The Ultimate Apocalyptic Survival Tool! (Blade length 8-1/2" ) blade width 2-1/2" 5-3/4" handle length 1.8lbs .270" blade stock in 5160 Spring Steel and or 1075 High Carbon Steels, 12-1/2" Ov. This massive survival knife is made with deep Carrillo primary grinds, 1/4" wide secondary cutting bevels are 30 degrees and a factory razor sharp cutting edge applied with industry standard 800grit first pass then back to 400grit second pass creating a factory razor sharp edge while maintaining the nice grind lines you're familiar with on all brand new knives. The handle is made with rubber knife scales and provides a solid hold indexing with the geometry of the handle shape. The rubber scales can be removed easily and replaced if desired also just para-cord wrap the handle it will still provide solid indexing. All Snow-Tac Alpha Trackers are now made with our new modern serrations (variation #2) with cantered rake towers, slightly wider apart and round gullets. (More pictures below) these will perform outstanding for notching. This tank of a survival knife features a multi-function pommel end = pry bar-point contact and vehicle window breech. Also a primitive fire starting spindle divot coupled with jimping and comfortable "choil" hold. The blade has functioning holes, one large half inch hole for 1/2" size kernmantle rope for improvised grappling hook and the knife & rope can be utilized for EOD mine clearing at distance, while smaller hole is for primitive arrow sizing.

1 - Snow-Tac Alpha Tracker stamped #04 is currently available in 1075 modern variation #2 counter-saw back serrations. This Alpha Tracker has been sand blasted grey then coated with silica ceramic black finish. The sand blasted grey oxide alone provides outstanding blade protection however when the silica ceramic black is coated over the grey oxide it provides superior protection! Also its very durable even more so than black-oxide. All STK Alpha Trackers are individually numbered, makers mark, steel used this is #04 Snow-Tac Alpha Tracker the number of knife will be stamped on the bottom of the integral guard. Nestled in the heart of wooded countryside in Southeastern Oklahoma, our blades are more than tools; they are masterpieces of precision and artistry. From meticulously handmade full tang combat knives, hollow handle survival knives to unique "restomods" each blade tells a story of dedication and expertise and totally handmade. We also fabricate our handmade knife guards and pommel ends out of high quality commercial bronze alloy.

Our hollow handle tubes and hollow handle cap ends are sourced from USA Knife Maker made with high quality 300 series stainless steel handle tube and perfectly milled aluminum cap ends. The tubes are rated water proof down to 50 feet. Snow-Tac Hollow Handle Survival Knives is setting new standards for the strongest mechanical hold tang attachments out there which are engineered and designed to be insanely strong! Our tangs are .270" thick x 3/4" wide x 1-3/4" - 2-1/4" in length from the shoulders mounted into the tube, this massive tang takes up 1/3 of the hollow handle tube! Yet there's still plenty of room for your small survival items to be stored inside your Snow-Tac Hollow Handle Survival Knife, we recommend small ferrous rod, fishing line, small weights and hooks. The quality aluminum cap will have a high quality compass seated in the cap slot, you give up inside hollow handle tube space for the trade off of a superior hollow handle tang strength! Our hollow handle survival knives feel like full tang knives simply because they're literally almost half the length of a actual full tang knife. The tangs mechanical hold strength is further enhanced with a 1/4" round x 3/4" wide titanium locking pin that goes through the tang laterally from wall to wall up against the inside of the hollow handle tube, pressure sealed with 5000psi cold weld. The threaded end of the handle tube also locks in the round block weld that is totally pressure pressed around the massive tang and titanium cross bar. The cold weld STK uses is a 24hr true cold weld not the typical 5hr epoxy most other makers use in their handle hold process. We use the strongest made cold weld resin on the planet and requires 24hrs to cure.

Once the epoxy resin is over the titanium cross bar pin the resin is pressured pushed to seat into the lower threads and just over the titanium cross bar pin. It's allowed to set for 24hrs to fully cure. Once this 24hr cold weld dries the blade would break and fail from some form of catastrophic pressure long before the massive tang moves a single centimeter! Think of it this way? K-Bar Knives our grandfathers used are made with .165" thick x 1/2" wide x 5" full tang our Snow-Tac hollow handle tangs are .270" thick x 3/4" wide x 1-3/4" - 2" long tang. These are NOT your typical hollow handle tangs out there with a 1" minuscule tang insert. Each Snow-Tac knife is individually serial numbered on the bronze guard, steel used stamped on the blade, makers mark stamped on the blade, and no two are exactly alike as even though it's same model there's always little differences with each knife having its own soul and character. Our knives are logged into a data folder the serial number, model and state location. We currently have knives in Texas, Colorado, Nevada, Missouri, California, Washington State and one in Europe. STK NEWS 5-12-2025 Snow-Tac Alpha Tracker in 5160 is currently being built 60% completed also four CUK/BUK hollow handle survival knife blades have been cut, tangs sized and ready for beveling all 4 CUK/BUK blades in 80CRV2 .270" blade stock are in queue. Sometime around first of June starting four Model 24 Soldier in 80CRV2 .270" blade cutouts. The Model 24 Soldier the 4 will be priority builds for month of June.

STK NEWS 5-16-2025 Snow-Tac Alpha Tracker in 5160 is 95% completed just uploaded a video on YT today. Just need to add a choil & jimping then differential heat treatment and double temper, this is #05 stamped STK Alpha Tracker should be completed by tomorrow. We're still waiting on a custom sand blasting chamber that's being built for Snow-Tac Knives, it will come with the blasting chamber, large standing heavy duty air-compressor, professional blasting gun & air compressor air hose and 500 pounds of oxide grit and glass bead grit.

Currently working on 3 - Bushman combat utility knives and 1 - BUK Bushman utility knife blade, these cutouts are completed, the tangs have been sized and ready for mounting into the hollow handles. Starting the primary grinds and upper clip point grinds on all 4 of these hollow handle blades on Monday. The custom bronze EOD handguards are all ready made for all of these blades CUK and BUK blades. These will be 5-7/8" to 6" blade length .270" thick, custom hollow handle survival knives with no serrations. Of course they'll be constructed and mounted into the hollow handles to a depth of 1-3/4" from the shoulders utilizing STK's enhanced mechanical hold tang attachment process. Completion for the 3 - CUK and 1 - BUK is targeted for the end of May. All Snow-Tac Knife blades get differential heat treatments, hardening the blades to a solid glass hardness then the blades are tempered twice under controlled temperature for 1hr in an oven allowed to cool to room temperature, then tempered again a second time to temper down the blades to a moderate rockwell hardness for heavy use, shock resistant and superior cutting. All blades will be professionally sand blasted to a beautiful crystalline grey coating and then if the grey oxide is your desired finish those blades are heated to around 180 degrees and sprayed with a special penetrative/pentetrating oil to seal in the grey oxide and or the grey glass bead finish and color. Blades with a desired silica ceramic black coating do not get the (penetrative oil sealing process) for silica ceramic black finish the silica ceramic black is applied over the sand blasted blades which then really adheres to the sand blasted finish, therefore not only do you get dual protection the silica ceramic black is not going to easily come off. It actually provides better corrosion protection.

"So I started making knives for myself and my collection, it was never really about selling them. Folks started inquiring and yes I've sold a few and it would be cool to sell some more but honestly that's not a priority to me, I just really enjoy the artistic and creation part of making knives. I find it relaxing getting out in my modest shop and working on knife projects. And every time I make one I strive to make them better and better! For the time being if you're interested in me making you one of my custom Snow-Tac handmade knives we've created this website with info and prices. When I make a knife my goal is to make it insanely tough, strong as hell, functional and beautiful with attention to detail along the way. Each knife goes through my grueling almost obsession like quality control. I get inspired by knife makers like Randall, Lile, Steve Allen with Running River Knives, Chris Reeve Knives, Beck, Martin, Marfione and Robert Parrish to name a few. I also admire Japanese makers with SOG full tang combat knives, SOG Seki-Japan knives are my favorite full tang combat knives! So when I do make a full tang knife it's usually my Alpha Tracker, MACV-SOG Vietnam Tribute Combat Knife or my SOG Black-Ops full tang Combat Knife. But I prefer to specialize in my handmade hollow handle survival knife models, my goal is to change the negative connotations that some survival knife enthusiasts feel about hollow handle knives when it comes to the knife's strength and abilities.
